Has it really been THAT long since I posted?
MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE CAME IN TIME FOR THE CRUISE! I got it on Wednesday and we left Monday. We stopped off at the safe deposit box before we left. Lo and behold, my eyes could hardly believe a copy of my birth certificate was sitting in the safe deposit box safe and sound. [Smacks forehead]
We got home from our cruise on Friday. It was wonderful! It was only a four night cruise to Mexico; very casual. We got on the ship on Monday. It was the most relaxed we have been in months. We partied hard, slept a lot, and indulged in good food. I felt closer to Mr. Bear than I had felt in months. We laughed a lot and enjoyed each other’s company. It was not the fanciest cruise ever, but we really did not miss the pomp and circumstance of some of the other cruise venues. It was a perfectly romantic, fabulous, wonderful, and amazing anniversary trip. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
We are getting settled at the new house. We have several unopened boxes that need to be unpacked. We are filling up this huge house with love and STUFF. It feels like home. The cat, dogs, and Allie Kat came home on Friday afternoon. Everyone seems to be happy and everyone is adjusting well.
We have had a lot of company on both sides of the family. It has been so comfortable to have visitors. This house is so roomy. We have had my parents, Mr. Bear’s mom and stepdad, Mr. Bear’s dad and stepmom, my sister, and my nephew on different occasions. We are loving every minute here!
Last weekend, before we left for the cruise, Mr. Bear’s dad and stepmom came down for lunch and brought a beautiful indoor tree as a housewarming gift. A bit later, Mr. Bear’s brother came down for a nap—LOL. It was a busy Sunday, then we left bright and early Monday morning.
This weekend was busy! My parents came down Friday and left for their three week cruise in Europe out of San Diego, so I had to take them to the airport at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Then, Mr. Bear and I went to the pet store to get a new dog house (that the dogs refuse to use) and some pet fish for Allie Kat. When we got home, we had an appointment with the Locksmith services in Atlanta GA to get a security system installed for the house.
Later on Saturday, Mr. Bear’s mom came down for an overnight visit. We had a great time hanging out Saturday night and made some yummy burritos. Mr. Bear’s mom is an interior decorator. She and her husband came over and started getting our window coverings up. We picked out some beautiful hardware for the drapery. I cannot wait to see the final result! Everything is coming along beautifully!
We went to the nearby lake and campground/RV park yesterday with Mr. Bear’s mom and step dad. It has seven different lakes, a water playground for the kids, paddle boats, walking/running trails, a pool, kiddie pool, jacuzzi, and looks like it will be a great place for our RV-loving family to come for visits. Allie and I will be enjoying the water playground this week with the SAHM playgroup.
We had problems on our vinyl sidings but thanks to a vinyl siding from Columbus Windows and Siding. You should try them, surely it will protect your home for years to come. If you are also having trouble on air-conditioning, visit Twin Falls AC Repair on gohomeheating.com.
We are having Mr. Bear’s 42 inch flat screen installed later today and I have promised Allie a walk to the park down the street. Overall, today is planned to be a relaxing, fun day. I might unpack a box or two, but life is pretty good right now. We are so blessed and so grateful for our life together.
I hope everyone out there in Internetland is doing well. I have a lot of catching up to do! 🙂
