It has been several weeks now since the Mamavation Mom campaign ended and I am finally easing back into blogging and social media again. The campaign was challenging for many reasons, but especially time. It took a great deal of time to “do it all.” I was busy, busy busy! I lost many inches, however due to the demands of the campaign, I quit the marathon training. For a while, I was extremely depressed and lost. I had put a lot of time, energy, effort and my heart into the training. To give it up was a serious blow.
I have no regrets on the campaign. I gained many friendships, I am certain will last a lifetime. I learned about myself and I found myself too.
This next week, I am starting Adventure Boot Camp again. It has been at least a year and a half since the last boot camp I attended and I am really ready for it! I miss my 5:30 a.m. mornings with Coach Jake and the other boot camp ladies. I made many friends last time and made some great progress. I am beginning to believe that I truly need these 5:30 a.m. classes forever—it is the only way I have found that I can commit.
The boot camp has a huge nutritional support component and I am looking forward to it. I am embarking on a detox this next week and there are warnings that I may be fatigued, grumpy, have headaches, and a general malaise during the initial period. Of course, if I stick it out, I will feel much better.
Mr. Bear and I are going to the store in a few minutes to get all the supplies we will need for next week. He is going to workout in the mornings when I leave—either the Wii or P90X. We are going to support each other through this and get healthy again.
I am saying all these things after last night’s pizza. For the next six weeks, there will not be pizza often. I am truly excited about getting our diet back on track and cutting out the crap we have been eating.
With shopping list in hand, I am ready for the next challenge. I am ready to see some awesome changes and have fun in the process. I cannot wait to have my butt handed to me on Monday.
