I have previously shared my love for Knott’s Berry Farm, basically since I started this blog, almost 10 years ago! As a family, we have been going to Knott’s for about 30 years, multiple times every year! I’ve seen my oldest nephew grow up at Knott’s Berry Farm. We have so many memories of my nieces, nephews, cousins’ children, neighbors’ children, friends’ children growing up from Camp Snoopy to the “big kids” park rides. This photo below was taken in about 1999-2000. My nephew is now 23!
One of the best things about Knott’s Berry Farm, is that there’s always something that’s guaranteed to please for everyone in our party. For example, my mom doesn’t prefer the scary rides, but always enjoys the shows, especially with the grandkids. This summer, there’s a lot of new and fun entertainment at Knott’s and our whole family is excited about it!
This summer, we are excited about Knott’s newest ride, Voyage to the Iron Reef. Voyage to the Iron Reef is an interactive, 4-D ride, that is high tech and full of adventure. Climb aboard a four person submarine and save the Knott’s theme park from the Queen of the Kraken! We’ve been so excited about the opening of this new ride since we first saw the “Coming Soon” posters around the Knott’s Boardwalk. It looks fantastic and we can’t wait to be some of the first riders of this ride!
Last year, Knott’s revamped one of its oldest and most classic rides, the Calico Mine Ride. It’s always a favorite of mine, at the end of the day, when the lines have died down, and my feet are sore. I love the way Knott’s is always keeping its attractions fresh and new—even their oldest rides!
Snoopy on Ice is always a hit with the kiddos. This year, there’s an all new snow, called Blockbuster Beagle… on ice, in the Charles Schultz Theater. I’m always impressed by the level of show that these performers put on. For the first time, Mr. Bear went with us to the Snoopy on Ice show, last summer. He’d always avoided it, but was very impressed when he finally went least summer!
The last time we went to Knott’s we saw a show for the first time at the Calico Saloon. It was a pretty fun little show, although I think the main character had her eye on Mr. Bear. I was a little suspicious of Calamity Kate. She was getting just a little too cozy! Ha!
This summer, the Calico Saloon is going Paris style! They will be featuring a Cancan style show in the saloon daily, June 13 – September 30, Plus September 5 – 7. I recommend keeping your eye on Calamity Kate, however!
There’s so much to do and see at Knott’s! Every time we go, we see something new or discover something fantastic. Last time? We discovered the bakery, tucked away, near ghost rider. The.best.chocolate.ever. Nom, nom, nom!
The question is:
Will I see you at Knott’s this summer?
