Today, while driving all over San Diego county searching for the perfect rental, Allie took a nap. When she woke up, she told me, “HOME MOMMY, now, puuhwease.” My heart just broke. The poor girl has been trying so hard to be a little trooper. She is the sweetest little one. I just want to get her home. I just want our family to be in our new home, wherever that is determined to be.
Another trying day today. I am worn out completely. Termite inspections. Home inspections. Appraisers. Wow! I had no idea how involved this all was going to be. I met the buyer today “officially,” and I recognized her. She has been here a number of times and she just seems so delightful really. I am glad she is going to get this house. At the same time, I am welling up thinking about our last days here. This house has had so many firsts. Our first kiss. Our first baby. We put our heart into making this little house our home. I will miss it.
I told Mr. Bear today that someone must explain to the buyer about the washer needing special HE soap or it will ruin the washer. He just laughed at me. I am getting sentimental over everything, including my sunflowers I replanted the other day. They will likely bloom AFTER we leave.
The good news is: we may have a rental. It isn’t in pristine condition, but we can keep the dogs AND there is a pool. It is 400 square feet bigger than our current house. It is right around the corner from where we are now and Mr. Bear can still come home for lunch. There is another one I like, which is smaller than what we are looking to buy (1600 square feet), but we might be able to work out a rent to own sort of situation. It is in the neighborhood we want (Rancho Penasquitos). We cannot keep the dogs at that rental, but that is an issue to be worked out.
I gave Allie a kiss goodnight before she went to be and without prompting, she told me, “Night Night Mommy. Lub ’em.” Tonight at dinner, someone sneezed and she replied, “Bless you, MAAAAN!” I love that little girl more than I ever imagined I could love anyone. She is so polite, so sweet, so wonderful, and so adorable.
