I went out this morning for a nine mile run, after we finished up our taxes. I had planned on running this route, which I now notice specifically says, “8.5 mile loop + Fiesta Island.” I did Fiesta Island as well, which pushed my route from 8.5 miles to 11.66 miles when it was all said and done. It kinda reminds me of that joke that goes, “I flew in from Miami this morning and boy, are my arms tired. Yeah, something like that.
It was a beautiful day to run and it was not too conjested along my route. I needed that time out there to clear my head; to sync my soul with my mind and body. The weather was superlative. It was neither too hot, nor too cold.
Other than two enormous blisters and some minor muscles aches, I am ready for a small bit of cross-training tomorrow!
I now know that I could, without a doubt, complete the 15k in two weeks and finish a half marathon. Now, the method is to fine tune everything for these races. I have a lot of space for improvement.
I am now off to happy hour and a movie with the girls!

Sounds like you’re in great shape for your races!
Taxes would make me run too. I’m procrastinating.
Geez, just biking around Fiesta is brutal for me. I wish I liked running. *sigh*
LOL. Yeah, Fiesta Island is not my favorite run, just because it is pretty boring. It is a leg of the 15k I am running in a couple of weeks and thought I best give it a shot.
Woah you’re in a great shape! How’d you menaged to run for so long and not get completely exhausted for the rest of the week?
