Thanks to GigaSavvy we were able to attend the Knott’s Camp Spooky Halloween Family event at #CampSpooky and had a fabulous family day. However, opinions are my own.
I’ve written before about how Knott’s Berry Farm has become a family tradition for my whole family. It all started more than 25 years ago, when Knott’s was honoring police, military, fire fighters and veterans, as they do every year. My whole family went to Knott’s during the holidays and we’ve continued the tradition every year since. Sometimes, we go more than once a season. We love to get at least one personalized ornament from the shop, near Santa. We’ve had the opportunity to go several times this year and can say that every season is fun at Knott’s!
We were invited the Knott’s Camp Spooky Halloween Family event on Saturday and we had a blast, as we do every time we go! This daytime, non-scare celebration, of cheer rather than fear, is the social event of the season with shows, activities and of course, trick-or-treating all geared for kids ages 3-11. There were many activities for kiddos, including many a magic potion. My 8 year old made a Friendship Potion, which was perfect for my little, sweet girl, who happened to dress up as a witch. We had breakfast at the Grizzly Creek Lodge, where we indulged in boysenberry cream cheese on our bagels. Uhhh….YUMMY!!!
This past Saturday, the Southern California temperatures were well into the high 90’s. We chose to watch some of the shows Knott’s has to offer in their air conditioned theaters. After getting soaking wet from the Big Foot Rapids and the Timber Mountain Log Ride, we went into the Mystery Lodge for the first time. The show was amazing and it was nice to come in from the weather to cool off. Then, we went into the Calico Saloon, where Mr. Bear was asked to be part of the show! I’m going to have to keep my eye on Cameo Kate. She was awfully cozy with my hubby. 🙂
This is the perfect time of year to purchase a season pass at Knott’s Berry Farm.
Their prices are very affordable and right now, the prices are the lowest of the year! Our friends recently purchased a season pass for their whole family of 5. Their little ones are just the right age for Camp Snoopy. It’s a perfect place for the whole family—no matter the age—there’s truly something for everyone. My brother purchased tickets for his entire family earlier in the year and it has been perfect for his teen and tween girls, as well as his wife and little boy. Knott’s has made it simple to afford season passes, starting at $8.50 (plus applicable taxes and fees).
